I was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota and am now living in Chanhassen with my husband, Dan, daughter, Sadie, and our dog, Rosie. Originally planning on becoming a teacher, I spent my first two years of college up at the University of Minnesota - Duluth before transferring down to the Twin Cities campus. Go Gophers! I completed my undergraduate degree in Communications and later returned to the Carlson School of Management to complete my Masters in Human Resources.
I joined Abdo at the end of 2012 as the firm's Learning Director. My responsibilities included leading the firm's training and development efforts and college recruiting. Over the past several years I took on additional responsibilities and am now the COO leading the day-to-day operations of the firm, including strategic oversight of Human Resources, Administration, Marketing, and Technology. I also became the firm's first non-CPA partner in 2022.
Outside of work, I love traveling with my family -- favorite destinations have included Germany, Alaska, and Hawaii. Our daughter is the light of our lives and keeps us busy with her activities including theater, piano, and singing. She loves the spotlight (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree).
