    Hello,

I am curious if any firms are using Bill.com (or any other service) for processing payments via your website.
I would be interested in learning about pros and cons of the various vendors.

    Thank you!
    Kim

Our firm uses AutoBooks which is a free service offered by our Credit Union, It is similar to QuickBooks online. It links transactions directly to our bank account. I have several payments set to automatically come out every month. Cons would be setting it up to reflect your current Chart of Accounts.

We have also accepted payments online usine AutoBooks. It has been a huge money and time saver for us.
PROS: 2% fee for ALL credit card transactions regardless of card type, payment link to a form on our website for client to fill out and submit payment, clients can make partial payments, emailed receipt to client and notification to staff member for all payments made online
CONS: I would like the "description" section on the form to read "invoice number"

Hey Kim: While Bill.com is the most prevalent vendor we see for Bill payment, for collections we also see QuickFee and Affinipay/CPACharge being utilized in member firms.  The advantage to all of these vendors is they handle the PCI compliance and transition the merchant fee issue externally so the firm is separated from the additional charge discussion.  The vendors can also finance outstanding balances if the firm policy is for the client to be current before the beginning of this year's services. $.02-Roman

    KIm,

We have been using Bill.com to pay our vendors and are very pleased.   We scan all of our vendor invoices into Bill.com and set up payment.   It has eliminated tons of paper and we have never had any issues.

Any other questions let me know.

We use Bill.com to pay vendors and have been very happy with it. it is not always the simplest solution but it really saves time in the approval process and links directly with QuickBooks.

We have started using CPACharge to accept payments via our website.  Overall we are pretty happy, however, we are seeing additional charges from the credit card companies that we were not aware of ahead of time.

We have also recently started using CPACharge.  Can you share what other charges you are seeing?  Thanks!

Hi Kim - our firm has been using Bill.com for about 2 years and we like it very much - it interfaces nicely with Intaact which is what we use for internal processing of payables.  We were "paperless" before that - keeping payables info in GoFileRoom, and many more of our operations team members had access to those files.  Now, with Bill.com we had to limit the users, and it took others a while to get used to that.  We accept credit card payments on our website (authorize.net plus our bank's merchant processor) and it works great.
